Recently I was able to review the Ettus Research USRP B205mini-i Software Defined Radio (SDR) board. The USRP™ B205mini-i is a SDR radio in the size of a business card. With a wide frequency range from 70 MHz to 6 GHz and a user-programmable Xilinx Spartan-6 XC6SLX150 FPGA, this flexible and compact platform is ideal for Ham radio applications. The RF front end is equipt with the Analog Devices AD9364 RFIC transceiver, providing 56 MHz bandwidth.  usrp250mini.jpg

A detailed review can be found in the Element14 Roadtest section: roadtest_July2617.png

In the review the 250mini is installed and tested on MacOS and the Raspberry Pi 4, using Gqrx, OpenWebRX and GNU Radio. Also an application is shown for decoding NOAA Weather satellite signals, using Gqrx and WXtoImg. Also aircraft transponder messages could be decoded using GNU Radio. Finaly a HAM Radio transceiver was also implemented using GNU Radio.
